My “Healthy Skin” Green Juice Recipe
What’s the perfect way to start your day? Green juice of course! I have been making a “healthy skin” green juice for the past year and love it. If you’ve been following me for awhile you’ll know that i’ve struggled greatly with my skin. Breakouts are nothing knew to me and the scars left behind are a reminder that I need to stay healthy and hopefully help others along the way. What we put into our body has a huge impact on our skin. This juice is packed with Vitamin C, silica and other skin nourishing ingredients! Vitamin C is extremely important for collagen production, therefore can help if you have acne scars or are starting to see the signs of aging. You can even use a topical vitamin C serum like 100 percent pure’s Vitamin C serum If you need an extra C boost for the skin! I like to start my day with this green juice because it helps keep me hydrated and get’s me on the right track for the rest of the day. So let’s get juicing!
What you’ll need (Try to buy organic):
- 1 Cucumber
- 1 Fennel bulb
- 1-2 sticks of Celery
- 1-2 Granny Smith Apples
- 1 lemon
- Klamath Lake Blue Green Algae (optional)
Juice and enjoy!
Thanks to my mom and her grocery store points, I use the Breville Fountain Elite Juicer and really love it. I find it doesn’t juice leafy greens or herbs very good (not much juice comes out?!), but other than that I’m really happy with it. It’s easy to use and the cleanup is a breeze! I used to just blend my veggies up with a bit of water and strain through a nut-milk bag, but much prefer a juicer hehe.
