Raspberry Chia Seed Jam (Aka the BEST Jam ever):
When I was a kid I loved my chia pet… but now I love my chia seed jam! This recipe is a healthy alternative to traditional jams which are often loaded with refined sugars. It’s super simple, nutrient-dense and incredibly scrumptious! Once you try this recipe, you will never buy store bought jam again!
I find using frozen Raspberries works better than fresh berries because there’s more liquid. Get creative and play around with other berries such as Blueberries, Blackberries and Strawberries. You can use black or white chia seeds for this recipe (There is no nutritional difference). So use what is easily accessible for you!
The three magic ingredients:
- Thaw out the berries (or heat them on the stove if you’re in a hurry).
- Once thawed, begin to mash the berries with a fork.
- Stir in chia seeds and raw honey.
- Add a bit of love!
- Let sit for 15 minutes or more (to allow the chia seeds to gelatinize and thicken)
You can put this chia seed jam on muffins, toast, crepes, or eat it directly with a spoon.. ENJOY!
